Thoughts on Bill 160
- A Word From Our President

My name is Randy Dignard and I am the President of Industrial Safety Trainers Inc. When I established this company eleven years ago, my main goal was to put my experience and training garnered from years of safety training courses to good use. I have a real passion for health and safety and wanted to share that with employers and employees. All of our skilled team members at Industrial Safety Trainers Inc. are very passionate about the health and safety and well-being of all workers; we want to see everyone go home to their families at the
end of their workday.

Over the past few months there has been a lot of hype and conjecture surrounding the new proposed Bill 160. On June 1st, 2011, Bill 160 received Royal Assent, making it now the law in Ontario. We are excited that there are now going to be standardized training accreditations required for training providers and more consistent requirements for health and safety training programs.

Working as your health and safety partner, we are here to help you wade through the new legislative changes.

Safety Training and Consulting in Iqaluit

Industrial Safety Trainers Inc. has been travelling to the far north in Iqaluit for close to five years now.  On a recent trip this past June, Randy Dignard noted that businesses in Iqaluit have made some very noticeable efforts to enhance and tighten current Health and Safety policies and practices.  Thanks to the continued efforts of the WSCC which have led to an increase in education and  knowledge base of the Health and Safety legislation in Nunavut, many companies now understand the importance of making safety a priority in their day to day operations.  Industrial Safety Trainers Inc. is very proud to be encouraging this change and helping this beautiful city keep its workers safe.
